Pressure polymerisation
This technique for the manufacturing of high-quality earmoulds and ITE shells has been proven for many years. Otoacrylic of our basic range consists of polymer (powder) and monomer (liquid) and is used in a thin-flowing consistency. The curing of this PMMA material is done by pressure polymerisation.

Here you will get detailed information about our product Otoacryl:

In this chapter you can find the following products:

  Working process
  1.
Preparation of the impression.
  2.
Production of the negative forms made of plaster, gel or silicone. Preheating of the forms.
  3.
Remove the ear impression and isolate the plaster surface.
  4.
Pouring of the mixed Otoacrylic into the moulds. In case shells have to be cast resp. finishing time saved, the materials are partly poured out of the mould again.
  5.
Pressure polymerisation, e. g. in the Polymax.
  6.
After polymerisation take the blank out of the form, work as usual, polish or lacquer it. Special advantages are nowadays offered by the silicone form method. These forms do not need to be treated with an isolating agent, they do not shrink so that they do not need to be
poured immediately.
